IEi stands in solidarity with our neighbors to bring peace, love, and hope to our community which is too often touched by gun violence. Together, we will honor gun violence victims and survivor families during Wear Orange Weekend by hosting Peace Fest: One Love Edition on Saturday, June 3rd. This year’s event is organized by We Grow Chicago Community-based Coalition, led by Imagine Englewood if, Healthy Hood, Think Outside Da Block and Moms Demand Action.
This year's block party style festival will include food, music and activities that uplift Black and Brown lives and cultures. The event will also include a resource fair, sport activities, a music concert, as well as shoe and clothing giveaways!
Last year, Peace Fest brought over 1,000 people and 25 resource providers. This year's Black and Brown Power event will be one for the books!
For more information, please contact event organizers at 773-498-3948 or peacecampus@imagineenglewoodif.org.
The 9th National Gun Violence Awareness Day will fall on June 2.
The day will kick off Wear Orange Weekend held June 3-4.
Companies and organizations are
invited to participate in the Resource Fair.
