HONORING GUN VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND SURVIVOR FAMILIES

Peace Fest STD .png

The Greater Englewood community will honor gun violence victims and survivor families during Wear Orange Weekend by hosting Peace Fest: One Love Edition on Saturday, June 3rd . This year’s event is organized by We Grow Chicago Community-base Coalition, led by Imagine Englewood If and Moms Demand Action. We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting this year’s event on the Peace Campus, 64th & Honore Street, from 2:00 and 8:00pm.

Last year, our Peace Fest brought out 1,000 people and over 25 resource providers. This year's block party style festival will include food, music and activities that uplift African American and Latinx culture.

The event will also include a resource fair, sport activities, games and giveaways!

For more information, please contact event organizers at 773-488-6704 or info@imagineenglewoodif.org.

The 9th National Gun Violence Awareness Day will fall on June 2.

The day will kick off Wear Orange Weekend held June 3-4.

Companies and organizations are
invited to participate in the Resource Fair.
